Unstoppable.
I bet you've never heard of Betty Skelton, right? She was the inspiration for this painting and she was a force to be reckoned with. See a bit more about Betty below. 🦸♀️♀
On 06.28.26, Betty Skelton, aka "The First Lady of Firsts", was born. Betty made HERstory in aviation, auto racing, & astronautics. Sit tight while I try to list her MANY accomplishments. Betty made her 1st solo flight ✈️ at the age of 12 (illegally). She was the 1st woman to do an “inverted ribbon cut,” flying upside down only 10 ft off the ground, slicing a ribbon with her propeller. In 1954, Betty became the 1st woman test driver for the auto industry. She was the 1st woman boat jumper in the US. In 1956, Betty broke a transcontinental speed record. In 1957, she was the 1st woman Pace Car driver for the Daytona 500. 🏎️ There's more... but I'm out of space. Drive on, Betty. ♀️♀️♀️
Your girl, sister, daughter, or friend will celebrate her fierceness and strength every single day when she looks at this original painting hanging in her room... and she will KNOW, for sure, that she can live her life by HER rules... and ONLY her rules.

I created this Mixed Media painting on a 18x24 canvas (1.5" wrapped edge) using acrylics, charcoal, ink, pastels, gelatos, tulle, stabilo, and paper.
- Each painting has a slightly "hidden" date somewhere on the canvas; the date represents a date in history that a woman performed a FANTASTICAL feat!
- The painting will be delivered to your door with a tag describing the inspiring woman and the date she set the world ablaze.
