On 10.20.2021, Sara Blakely closed a deal with an all-Woman team at Blackstone to sell her majority stake in Spanx, making her a billionaire (again.) Sara commented, “I will remain a significant shareholder and continue to help the business fulfill its greatest potential, as well as continue to fulfill my greatest passion—elevating women.” The investors included Oprah Winfrey and Reese Witherspoon. Not a bad team to be on. ♀️♀️♀️
