💥🌊 On 12.22.2013, Darcy Gaechter made HERstory as the first Woman to kayak the entire Amazon River, from its high-altitude source in Peru to the Atlantic Ocean.

Battling brutal rapids, extreme heat, disease risk, and the constant threat of the unknown, she didn’t just survive... Darcy dominated a 148-day, ~3,000-mile expedition. 🛶🔥

She trained for years, often as the only Woman in whitewater circles, and launched the journey after being told (more than once) it couldn’t be done. Along the way, she navigated everything from remote jungle isolation to dangerous river conditions that have taken experienced paddlers before her. 💪🏽🌿

Her journey wasn’t just for the record books; it was a megaphone to the world: Women don’t wait for permission, they create the current. 🌊✨

Paddle like a Girl? Hell yes.
Girls paddle like warriors. ♀️⚡
