Her work centered the lived experiences of Women, especially Black Women, insisting that survival is strength and softness is not surrender. She did not ask for permission to speak. She rose and she brought generations with her. 💜

Her iconic poem, Still I Rise, remains a feminist anthem of defiance and dignity:
