On 09.01.2008, 11-yr old Malala Yousafzai made herstory by accompanying her father to a local press club in Peshawar to protest school closings. She gave her first speech—“How Dare the Taliban Take Away My Basic Right to Education?” Malala is a Pakistani Pashtun activist for female education & the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. If one girl can change the world, imagine what two girls can do. ♀️♀️♀️

My Life, My Rules

Ever heard of Emmeline Pankhurst? She was the inspiration for this painting. Emmeline was a force to be reckoned with. She didn't just live her life by the rules society had in place, she worked to CHANGE the rules. See a bit more about Emmeline below.  🦸‍♀️♀

Emmeline Pankhurst was born on 15.July.1858 (according to her birth certificate.) Emmeline made HERstory so many times throughout her life. Because Emmeline was born into a politically activist family, she was only fourteen when she was introduced to the Women's Suffrage Movement. In 1903, Emmeline founded the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU), and along with so many other important and notable achievements, was a major force behind eventually securing Womens' right to vote. Check out one of Emmeline's best quotes: "Trust in God - She will provide." ♀️♀️♀️
