Ever heard of Emmeline Pankhurst? She was the inspiration for this painting. Emmeline was a force to be reckoned with. She didn't just live her life by the rules society had in place, she worked to CHANGE the rules. See a bit more about Emmeline below. đŠžââïžâ
Emmeline Pankhurst was born on 15.July.1858 (according to her birth certificate.) Emmeline made HERstory so many times throughout her life. Because Emmeline was born into a politically activist family, she was only fourteen when she was introduced to the Women's Suffrage Movement. In 1903, Emmeline founded the Women's Social and Political Union (WSPU), and along with so many other important and notable achievements, was a major force behind eventually securing Womens' right to vote.
