Inspired by the 1915 NYC Suffrage March:
On 23.Oct.1915, more than 25,000 Women marched up Fifth Avenue in New York City, demanding the right to vote. It was the largest Women’s march the city had ever seen—bold, unapologetic, and impossible to ignore.
The New York Times responded with a warning:
"If Women are granted the suffrage, they will demand all the rights that implies. It is not possible to think of Women as soldiers, police patrolmen, or firemen."
Yes, that was printed.
Yes, they said the quiet part out loud.
Yes, we’ve come a long way—but there’s still more to fight for.Let’s remember the power of collective action—and the courage it takes to demand the rights we deserve.
