Women's March for Suffrage - NYC
On 10.23.1915, more than 25k Women made HERstory by marching up Fifth Avenue in New York City advocating for the right to vote. The Women's March was the largest ever held in NYC.
The NY Times published an article warning that if Women got the vote, they would "play havoc for themselves and society", and if "granted the suffrage, they would demand all the rights that implies. It is not possible to think of Women as soldiers, police patrolmen, or firemen."
('tis true! I can't make this stuff up.)
