1st Woman to run for Democratic party's Pres nomination
Shirley Chisolm was born on 11.30.1924. Shirley made HERstory by becoming the 1st Black Woman elected to the US Congress, the 1st Black candidate for a major-party nomination for President of the United States, and the first Woman to run for the Democratic Party's nomination.
