And though she knows for sure she will do great things, she also knows for sure that pursuing dreams with kindness towards others is the only path for her. Words matter, respect matters, and kindness is not optional.

The kind of girl that drops everything and runs TOWARDS the scary stuff, not from it. She's fierce, smart, determined and walks confidently through life... and even when she feels a bit insecure, she never lets others see it... because, she knows deep within, that she's got this. So... this is for the girl who is EXCELLENT, AWESOME, FANTASTICAL... anything BUT mediocre. This girl wakes up every morning and hits the ground running! She knows she has inner-girl-power-excellence, and she uses it to her advantage every single day. There's ZERO room in this girl's life for just being "ok" or "average"... oh no... these words are not in this girl's vocabulary. If you want to be part of her space, you better bring your A-Girl-Game... 'cause that's what she brings to the world every single day.

Inspired by Shirley Chisholm. Shirley Chisolm was born on 30.November.1924, & she transformed HERstory. As the 1st Black Woman elected to the U.S. Congress, the 1st Black candidate for a major-party nomination for President of the United States, & the 1st Woman to run for the Democratic Party's nomination, she inspired countless individuals. “I want to be remembered as a Woman... who dared to be a catalyst for change.” She was that and more! ♀️♀️♀️

Inspiration: On 07.28.1866, Beatrix Potter was born. Before becoming a successful author in a time when women weren't even allowed to vote, Beatrix had a passion & talent for botany. She wanted to pursue her passion professionally, but faced continual rejection because she was a Woman. She started writing & illustrating children's stories, with her 1st book being "The Tale of Peter Rabbit". Twenty more successful books followed. Beatrix was a savvy entrepreneur, patenting the Peter Rabbit doll in 1903. But, she wasn't done yet. She used her self-made fortune to buy a small farm & became a champion sheep breeder. Beatrix made HERstory in 1943 by becoming the 1st Woman Pres of the Herdwick Sheep Breeder's Assoc. Take that! ♀️♀️♀️

Ever heard of Hazel Schmoll? She was a remarkable Woman ♀♀ and the inspiration for this painting. See a bit more about Hazel below.  🌱♀

On 08.23.1890, Hazel Schmoll was born. Hazel was an American botanist who made HERstory a couple of times. Hazel was the 1st woman to earn a doctorate degree in botany from the University of Chicago. The year was 1932 & it was a time when most people still thought a woman's primary focus should be finding & marrying rather than pursuing an education (sadly, 'tis true!) Hazel made HERstory a 2nd time when she became the 1st person to conduct a systematic study of plant life in southwestern Colorado. Google "astragalus schmolliae", aka "Schmoll's milkvetch." The lady was a wonder! ♀️♀️♀️

On 11.08.1873, Ellen Swallow Richards, the 1st Woman admitted to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), made HERstory by graduating with her BS degree. She later became MIT's 1st Woman instructor. Who said men were smarter than Women? Not true...
